Investment Spotlight: Fitted, Cohort 6

Introducing Fitted, a social marketplace for outfits

Investments

Fitted is a mobile app targeting Gen-Z that allows them to discover, share, and buy outfits.

Discovery-based shopping solutions are limited because they don’t include discovery, sharing, and buying. For example, Pinterest is great for discovery but doesn’t facilitate buying. Etsy is great for discovery and buying but doesn’t have social sharing.

Sixty-three percent of Gen-Z trusts friends for product discovery, and over 80% are likely to make a purchase after seeing user-generated content.

How Fitted works:

  1. Download their mobile app and create an account to share your OOTD (outfit of the day).
  2. Connect with friends and see their outfits in your feed (think Instagram, but all the photos are outfits).
  3. Find an outfit you like and connect to the brand merchant directly to make a purchase.

After launching in June 2023, Fitted reached ~1,500 organic downloads, with over 4,000 outfits shared and a 4.9 rating on the App Store (107 reviews), all while being bootstrapped.

The three co-founders, Phoenix, Emma, Anthony all met at Georgetown University and decided to work on Fitted shortly after graduation.

We met the team after they joined Founder University cohort 6 in August 2023 and were quickly impressed by their product velocity and user growth. In week 4 of the program, Pheonix and Emma left their full-time jobs at AWS and Spencer Stuart to go full-time on Fitted.

After seeing the progress week after week, we invested $25k into the company.

Visit fittedcollective.com to get started discovering, sharing, and buying outfits.

If you’re a builder-founder interested in joining the next Founder University, applications are open for our December 2023 cohort.

We review applications on a rolling basis. Learn more and apply at founder.university/apply.
